With the progress of technology and improvement of human living standards, traditional clothing cannot meet people's requirements except that they are with function and intelligent properties. Heat storage temperature fabrics with phase change materials, can incessantly absorb and release energy to adjust environmental temperature, and change the way that traditional fabrics achieve comfort ability by reflecting and disconnecting heat. Currently, phase-changing blended fabrics are mostly coating fabrics; however, due to poorly washable and stable coating fabrics are unfavorable to long time to dress. Taken various factors into account, by studying phase change blended yarn and fabric, yarn blending ratio and explore fabric structure parameters, and study the tempering and maintain performance, for textile functional research has important significance.In this paper, a series of cotton / mercerized wool (hygroscopic perspiration fiber) / outlast blended yarns were successfully spun. Mainly research on spin ability of the raw materials, radial distribution, and relationship between outlast content and properties, such as strength and phase-changing, as well as phase-changing retention properties of blended fabrics were studied. Mainly do the following work:1. Research the spinnability of the cotton, mercerized wool and outlast fiber, analyze the racial distribution of the fibers in the yarn by observing cross-section slices of the blended yarn, and obtain the relationship between outlast fiber content of blended yarn and strength properties, phase-changing properties.2. Test the phase-changing property of fiber and yarn by Pyris Diamond type differential thermal scanner (America, PerkinElmer Company). Phase -changing starting points, end points and heat enthalpy were chosen to represent the tempering effect and tempering sensitivity.3. Weave eight kinds of samples by the seamless underwear machine. Tempering effect of the samples was studied using the plate thermometer and infrared thermo detector, and studied the relationship between temperature adjustment function and outlast fiber content, fabric thickness and grams per square meters.4. Test tensile properties, permeability and wicking property of fabrics, analyzed relationship between outlast fiber content and properties.5. In view of washing means commonly used, samples were washed 5 times, 10 times, 30 times and 50 times respectively at 30℃, 40℃, 60℃. Comparing surface morphology and structure using properties and color changes of the fabrics after different washing conditions.6. Observe surface morphology of the outlast fiber and find the changes, illustrate the influences of washing conditions by surveying heating curve and cooling curve, test tempering effect of the fabrics by DSC, at last analyze remaining of the tempering effect.7. Analyse overall properties of fabrics through fuzzy evaluation methods after being washed at different washing temperature and washing cycles, obtain the best washing parameters.After testing and analysis, results show that the distribution of outlast fiber in the yarn have great change with increase of its content, and when outlast content is 40%, stretch properties and tempering sensitivity of the yarn are larger. The heat enthalpy, tensile properties, air volume, core absorption effect, warmth of fabric and outlast fiber content significant correlation between, including breaking strength, elongation at break, core cooling process of suction height, heat enthalpy and blending ratio become second-degree parabola relation, breathe freely quantity, warmth retention and blending than a linear relation between them. After washing, surface morphology and structure of fabrics substantially change and strength property of the fabrics washed firstly increase and then drop, and the higher the temperature is, the more quantity of breathable decline, the better wicking is. The change of tempering performance after washed at different temperature is larger than that after washed by different washing cycles, with the increase of washing cycles, and the washing temperature increases, heat enthalpy of the fabric reduces, so tempering effect reduce, but retain ratio is still above 70% and it is great advantage comparing with coating fabric.As a kind of new phase-changing functional fabrics, tempering comfortable performance of fabric is outstanding, therefore this topic for the research and development of functional textile is significant, phase-changing products will be widely applied.
