Investigation Of Environmental Literacy Status Of Engineering Students And Suggestion

With the deepening of sustainable development strategy, The state environmental literacy training for citizens take seriously gradually. As a part of the Group of College of engineering students, also responsible for promoting the harmonious development of economic and environmental responsibility.By analyzing the basic situation of college students' environmental literacy, recommendations of further improving the environmental quality of engineering students.In the investigation, take the environment knowledge, the environment manner, the environment behavior and the environment skill as the inspection fundamental point, constructing evaluation system of environmental literacy. Taking the different professional freshmen of Changchun Institute of Technology and Architecture And Decoration College JiLin Architecture And Civil Engineering Institute for respondents, sampling investigation selected 400 people. Randomly, The systematic analysis of the data, as a basis for summary conclusions are as follows:1.In the area of environmental knowledge, the level of basic knowledge of environment and hot issues is better, has the understanding to the environment new concept, but for environment laws and regulations is short of, environmental skills, practical ability is poor.2.Students ' attitudes towards environmental issues is better, but still in a shallow level, did not rise to the height of the ethics.3.Environment protection behavior among students of less than green attitude, Inspected the environmental behaviour of the individual and social behavior on two aspects, reflecting the student's community participation in environmental protection is not high, particularly for issues related to personal interests, nor to consider problems from the perspective of sustainable development.4.The environment specialized student has the remarkable difference with the non-environment specialized student in the environment knowledge.5. In setting environmental education course on the issue, most of the students have expressed a need , in the hope of what aspect of the content selected, environmental knowledge and skills training had higher scores. Based on the analysis on the high school biology textbook of environmental education ,proposed to enhance the view of environmental education and put forward the further proposal to the higher engineering course colleges and universities student for environmental literacy:Of environmental education course,according to different professional students, targeted on environmental education popularization; widening access to knowledge and teaching in class with extracurricular education combined; to practice activities strengthen students ' environmental behaviors; to enhance students' environmental ethics construction, straight university student's environmental attitude; strengthening environmental education in training teachers to improve the environmental literacy of teachers ; for a "green education " to create "green university".
