Accelerator alignment is an important content of precise engineering survey. Because the conventional instruments and technologies could not be satisfied by the increasingly requirement, new instruments need to be introduced and the correlative survey technologies and data processing methods also need to be studied. Based on the analysis of conventional alignment technologies, 3D alignment technology was studied first, then studies around the application in accelerator alignment of Laser Tracker were discussed in the paper. Our contributions can be detailed as follows:First, the developments and status of accelerator alignment technologies were summarized, then the characteristics and contents of accelerator alignment survey were also introduced.Second, Laser Tracker was introduced, including the developments and measure principle. The testing methods of ranging and angle measuring were studied and the general calibration methods of laser tracker were summarized. The major application fields of laser tracker were introduced.Third, based on the analysis of conventional alignment technologies, a method of 3D coordinates alignment by freedom station was putted forward. The existing coordinate transform methods were summarized, and the Quaternion and Lodrigues matrix were introduced into coordinate transformation. The survey precision of polar coordinate system was studied first, then four-segment method and MetroIn comparison method were putted forward.Fourth, the information about accelerator control network was introduced first. Several control methods of data quality acquired by single station were putted forward: inner precision testing, outer precision testing with next station and precision testing with the whole control network. Error accumulations of the whole ring coordinate transform between Z-fixation and Z-nonfixation were analyzed and the formula expression between error accumulation and number of station was put forward then. At last, the adjustment methods of three dimension control network was studied.Finally, a software was designed and programmed.
