At present, Laser tracker and Total station are x'idely used in sun'ey and alignment ofaccelerators, and good measuring results had been got. ln our county', the third generationsynchroniZaion radiation facility, Shanghai Light Source, will be constructed in Shanghai. lnorder to achieve itS befOrehand research, LTD500 Laser tracker, TDM5005 tota1 station andsome accessories were purchased, but these instruments are used in the survey and alignmentof accelerators for the first time domestic. So we must find out how to use these instruments inthe survey and alignment of accelerators, and accumulate some experiences for the survey andalignment of Shanghai Light Source.ln this paPer, according to the research on the principle of Laser tracker and its errorfactors, we bring forward some detailed rules for Tr8cker operating. Based on the testing onLTD500 Laser tracker and TDM5005 Tota1 station, we get their practical precision insurveying.Aim at the surve}' and alignment of Shanghai Light Source, we bring forward the projectof netWork design, measuring and its adjustment method. By many experiments, we make surethe feasibility of using LTD500 Laser tracker and TDM5005 Total station to process thesurvey and alignment in Shanghai Ligh Source, and exPound the idiographic ways of usingthese instrumentS to process network measuring. Last, we put out sufficient technic preparingfor the survey and a1ignInent of Shanghai Light Source.
