The 21st century is a period of knowledge. And the modern management theories have been supporting that the knowledge management (KM) proves to be one of the key elements that determines the organization performances. KM needs to coordinate various resources, and to help the manager to get a better foresight and a solution. And it is a significant measure to deal with adaptability, maintainability and competency of an organization.And as the emergence of globalization and developed information technology, more and more project cooperation between corporations turns up. And corporations pay more attention to the innovation activities that could fuse and reorganize knowledge over traditional boundaries to promote the competence of the corporation.This research has made a study to find out the factors that have an impact on the performances of project cooperation between corporations. And it has made a close study in the relationship between storage of knowledge of companies, culture of companies, factors of communication and cooperation, and the relationship between project characteristics and the management activities. This essay consists of three parts: introduction of theories, the empirical research, the conclusion and inspiration.In the introduction of theories, the main research method is exhibited and the corresponding hypothesis and model is constructed based on the researches in the domains of corporation cooperation and knowledge management and the fact of domestic cases.In the empirical research part, the conclusion shows that the impact on the performances of KM across corporations based on projects stem from four aspects: storage of knowledge of companies, culture of companies, factors in cooperation and the characteristics of the project. And then the assumed relationship between the impact factors and performances of KM across corporations is testified and the model is set up.The final part has given out the main conclusion of this research and the suggestions.
