Modern Port Logistics System Planning Theory And Methods

As an emerging subject, though logistics was gradually accepted by Chinese people in 1980s, it has been paid more and more attention by scholars and entrepreneur under the drive of information technology and economic development. Using the thought of supplying chain logistics to combine the business activities such as buying raw material, storage and transportation is a very effective measure to improve the operating efficiency, cut cost, make more customers satisfied and enhance competitiveness of the company. Meanwhile, through many years development, the function of port became more perfect. Long ago, port only supplied transportation, loading and storage service, but now it become a international logistic center which offers manufacture, customs bond, finance, trade, information services and so on. How to combine the various functions effectively, communicate information between supplies and demander in time, activate port resources and satisfy demander's severe and individualized need is the key factor to port development. Fortunately, logistical management is the right measure to optimize the port resources and improve operating efficiency. So, it is a very realistic and significant research field.This dissertation exploits a new research field of logistics, introduces logistical thought into port operating management .Besides the dissertation treats the port as a logistical garden, and make logistical scheme towards it. With the scheme' impel, the author wants to diminish the barrier and force the port modernization, intellectualization and information.Firstly this dissertation introduces the logistical related theory, evaluates it and points out disadvantage of the logistical theory. Secondly, describes the basic theory of port logistics including definition, characteristic and function, and analyses the relationship between port logistics and economic development with gaming theory, through which certifies the important force pushed by port logistics to port logistical companies integration and port economy.
