Career management, as a new researching topic in human resource field, has prospered vigorously in developed countries in recent years. Good management of employees' career can maximally match the targets and benefits of employees and the company and realize their mutual development. The paper aims at putting forward an effective career management project for Jinan Household Electrical Appliance Marketplace of Sanlian Group(the company for short) with the hope of producing reference value for this company and other companies in the whole trade of service and circulation.By adopting methods such as questionnaire survey and interview, the paper conducts an investigation concerning the conditions of career management in the company, finds out the existing problems after analyzing relevant data, and, accordingly, interviews to verify the analysis result and clarify reasons for these problems, and finally works out the project for improvement.Firstly the paper introduces the relevant concepts of career management and gives a relatively detailed description and comment on some representative theories. Then it introduces the general situation and career management practice of the company. Based on the career management investigation, the paper finds that career management here is still at the beginning stage for some deep reasons such as absence of scientific job analysis, lack of valid measures for employees' performance leading to their poor self-awareness, scarcity of specific design for career passage, inadequacy of support from career information system producing employees' difficulty in finding career opportunity, shortage for systemic and effective system for employee training, and poor match of the management of performance and payment with career management system etc. Finally, the paper puts forward the designed project to improve the career management system from two aspects of employees and the organization, with the latter as the focus. As for employees, according to Super's Career Development Theory, the paper introduces measures for career management that should be adopted for employees' training.
