With the further development of the economic globalization and international trade, the world production system has changed in very significant ways such as disintegration and reorganization. The impact on local industries by the shift of world production system cannot be comprehended thoroughly in an isolated and static perspective. The analyzing method of the Global Commodity Chain, which emphasizes the internal relationship between the commodity manufacture and distribution, is a systematic analyzing framework that helps to understand the change of industrial relationship from the macroscopy to microscopy.The paper introduces the global commodity chain theory and studies the manufacturing industries of Sichuan province in the GCC analyzing framework to identify the competitive advantages and disadvantages of several representative industries.
