Combining the city's development model, determine: Xi'an city is at the initial stage of the suburb i.e. relative suburb stage② Setting out from studying the traffic inside the city, we come to a conclusion, the city traffic is in close relation with urbanization, and the time of urbanite taken on scheduled bus on and off duty is the direct embodiment that the urban traffic is good ity reasonable scale and scheduled time on bus, we can derive reasonable scale of Xi'an city urban space expanding, then obtain: Under the restriction in factors such as economic development level and traffic, etc. of the present stage, the expansion of the city size in Xi'an city has been already beyond the scope of rational scale.③ Combine two respects described above, get: Xi'an city have already reached the suitable stage to build the satellite towns at present.④ Construct a set of choosing reasonable planning mode of satellite towns one suitable for big city of our country systematically, the order of study as follows:Analysis on city development stage—Analysis of the rational scale of the city— Tightness analysis in traffic contacting (Analysis on the optimized space distance, analysis on optimized time distance)—Analysis of the range that city attracts— Tightness analysis of economic links—Analysis of the towns development condition.⑤ Regard Xi'an city as the research object and carry on the positive research with choosing mode, coming to the conclusion: Chang an district(luan wick is center), Lintong district, Yanliang district and Hu Country are suitable for developing as the satellite towns of Xi'an city.⑥ Adopt the index model of the living environment development and main composition analytic approach to appraise research to the urban environmental quality of human settlements of the satellite of Xi'an city separately, through comparing thetwo appraisal results , obtain that: The latter is more practical and effective than the former, and is more suitable as theory method which study and evaluate human settlements that environment of the satellite towns.(7) The sequence of the urban comprehensive quality of living environment of 4 satellite towns in Xi'an is: Lintong district, Chang an district, Yanliang district and Hu County.(8) As to the outstanding problem existing to the urban development of the satellite towns of Xi'an city, we have put forward the concrete measure with construction of optimizing.
