Sino-us Textile Trade Disputes

From May 2005, the US has frequently taken special safeguard measures againsttextiles and clothing products from China. As a result, Chinese textiles and clothingexport environment has been greatly damaged, it has also bring no small actual loss toour related industries. Sino-US textile trade talks experience seven rounds in severalmonths before reach an agreement, and it had become a hot spot of social concern in aperiod of time. This thesis aims at in-depth analysis of these issues: the key problemsin Sion-US textiles and clothing trade, the original causes of trade conflict arising, themajor law items concerned with special safeguard measures and US's illegalimplements, responsible policies and measures which had been taken by Chinesegovernment to avoid and settle the trade conflict, the problems which will still befaced in Sino-US textile trade in the future. In the end, the whiter puts forward sometentative countermeasures for Chinese textiles industry to get out of the dilemma, alsosome strategies for the development in the future.
