Enhance The Core Competitiveness Of Yinchuan City Commercial Bank

This article mainly focuses on the question of how to improve the core competitiveness of Yinchuan Municipal Commercial Bank (the Bank). It consists of four sections: introduction to theory on enterprise's core competitiveness; competitiveness analysis on various municipal commercial banks throughout China; formulating strategies on core competitiveness for the Bank; implementing the strategies on core competitiveness for the Bank. This article is about 24,000 words. The first section explains the theory on core competitiveness of an enterprise, mainly including: background and process that the theory came into being, as well as viewpoints of main popular schools; presenting the fundamental concept and realistic implication of core competitiveness theory; and key elements of core competitiveness that a modern bank shall have. The second section analyzes core competitiveness of municipal commercial banks throughout China, that is, introduction of status quo of the municipal commercial banks in China, and analysis of changeless and opportunities facing today's municipal commercial banks. The third section focuses on formulating core competitiveness strategies for the Bank. Basing on the second section, this section goes further into analyzing the market advantage and disadvantage of the Bank according to the theory, and discusses the guidelines on formulating core competitiveness strategies for the Bank. The fourth section suggests five approaches on implementing the strategies proposed in the previous section, that is, fully cultivating culture of enterprise, further strengthening R & D capability, systematically developing human resources, long-term elusion of financial risks, enhancing overall capability for sustainable development. This is the essence of this article. The first two sections explain general theories applicable for enterprises by introducing the sources of the theory and theories of relevant industries, then, offer an analysis to China's municipal commercial banks as a whole, thus laying foundation for discussion in the latter sections in two folds: first, structuring theoretical and industrial backgrounds; secondly, achieving transition from theory to practices. The last two sections research into practical matters regarding core competitiveness of the Bank. Firstly, it analyzes and compares the advantages and disadvantages of the Bank, and later turns to discuss the theory and practice methodologies on formulating core competitiveness strategies for the Bank, and the last part suggests five approaches to implementing the strategies ---this is the key of the article. By key itmeans: key in the structural sense, and the five approaches discussed here are of key importance. It is a matter which this enterprise expects immediate solution to, but does not cover all questions facing the enterprise. The four questions discussed in this article overlap with each other, pertaining to matters from theory to reality, then from reality to practice.
