With the rapid development of the reform and opening up, China’s hotel industry has grown to a considerable scale and influence industry, especially the up-scale hotel.By the end of 2014, the number of star hotels in China that checked by the provincial tourism administration department has more than 11,180, of which the up-scale hotel 3118, the total number of rooms is 730,600, the supply of the up-scale hotel and demand of the up-scale hotel is not match, The phenomenon of oversupply is very serious.Since 2012, the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPC issued the eight provisions, which close tied with the people. And after that a series of measures to improve the style of a series of force, including spending public funds, extravagance and waste. As China’s economy has entered a new normal, economic growth is slowing down, up-scale hotel market has been suffering winter. Therefore, based on the recession of up-scale hotel, how to develop the up-scale hotel become a hot issue in the hospitality industry and academia.Based on this background, this article choose up-scale hotel as the research object. The paper will analyzes the current situation and problems of up-scale hotel industry, use the analytic hierarchy process method to analyze the influencing factor and determine the weight of each index. What is more, the paper select Huatian hotel, Jinling hotel and Dongfang Hotel as case analysis objects, analyzes their business strategy in the background of economic contractions, summed up the direction for upscale hotel management strategy. The paper is divided into six chapter, the main contents of each chapter are as follows:The first chapter is the introduction. This article is to introduce the research background, significance, research methods and technology research and innovation framework map point.The second chapter is the theoretical basis definition and related parts. The first part is about the definition of up-scale hotel and management tactics, the second part is the study of theoretical basis, the third part is research literature review and reference.The third chapter analyzes the present situation of up-scale hotels. First, briefly introduced the development history of up-scale hotels, which is divided into five stage; Then the paper introduced the country luxury hotel business conditions from the development of both scale and operating conditions, By analyzing the operating conditions, we find five issues existing in the development of up-scale hotels.The fourth chapter is the logic analysis of the business strategy of China’s up-scale hotel in the context of economic austerity. First from the four aspects of economy, policy, social environment, technological analysis the high-end hotel development opportunity, then through hierarchical analysis method discussed the high-end hotel business strategy influence factors and relative importance. Finally based on the results of the analytic hierarchy process summed up the current high-grade wine shop business strategies should be focused on the target market positioning strategy, product and service strategy, marketing strategy, business development strategy, assets operation strategy.The fifth chapter is the case analysis, the paper select Huatian Hotel, Jinling Hotel and Dongfang Hotel as the research objects, analyzes the Huatian Hotel in the capital operation to take asset light strategy, under the Internet environment to adjust marketing strategy, market positioning strategy; Jinling Hotel in the market attention to expand mass market, in products and services, pay attention to service innovation and upgrading, in the industrial development layout of the pension and health industry; the Dongfang Hotel in business also began to walk the road of asset light, and actively adjust product structure, management optimization. Through the above case study for the new situation in the high-end hotel market, the paper provide reference for the development of up-scale hotel.The sixth chapter is the conclusion and prospect, describes the entirety of the main conclusions and future research directions in this field.
