Research On MD Supplier Management System

With the development of economic globalization, the competition between enterprises becoming more intense, the past solo system has been difficult to maintain their competitiveness. One of the key that enterprises can survive in the market is to create a more outstanding supply chain, as supplier is an important link in the supply chain, its ability can directly affect the ability of the whole supply chain. Therefore, the business performance largely depends on the ability of supplier management of enterprises. Supplier management system is an effective way to help enterprises to establish a shared, standardized, transparent and automated supplier management mode. Based on the urgent need of business of improving the management level of the supplier, implementing the supplier management system has more and more become an urgent need for enterprises’ informatization.This essay analyzed the problems of the supplier management of the MD company, and found that there are several unstandardized management operations and opaque behaviors exist in the supplier introduction, proportional distribution and performance management processes that hindered the improvement of the supplier management ability. In order to solve these problems, MD company implemented the supplier management system and its functions included Supplier Portal, Brand Management, life cycle management of supplier, performance management, proportional distribution management, supplier satisfaction survey and etc. Through the implementation of the supplier management system, the introduction of the supplier-> Supplier proportional distribution-> Supplier delivery-> Supplier performance evaluation-> Supplier exit are realized as the whole process of systematic, standardized and transparent management. And through the solidification of system processes, it forced to enhance the level of supplier management, and ultimately to achieve to enhance the overall ability of the supplier.MD supplier management system is different from the traditional supplier management systems which focused more on the information management of supplier. MD supplier management system focused more on the process, emphasizing the systematization, automation, humanization, supplier management standards and rules, by calculating the solidification model to the system, the human factors in the process of the supplier management are mostly minimized. MD supplier system opens up a new road for supplier management at enterprise level. Although the road is not mature yet, enterprises standing on the shoulder of forefathers can have a precedent for better research and development.
