Since reform and opening up, the number of small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs) in China has boosted. They have gradually intensified their creative power and have made excellent contribution to economic growth. Currently, China is at the critical stage of deepening economic system reform. With strong creativity, SMEs can drive optimization and upgrade of the industrial structure and promote adjustment of the development structure. Therefore, in order to make industrial restructuring successfully, China needs to pay close attention to development status of SMEs. In consideration of sluggish recovery of the international market and the domestic market at economic growth speed shifting stage, it’s a hard time for SMEs which have weak risk tolerance and relatively backward management. They are easy to be trapped in financial crisis. There is no doubt that financial crisis prevention is important. In SMEs’ financial crisis prevention work, priority should be given to “overall risk control”, which has been extensively recognized and conducted. The study on overall risk should include both internal risks of the company and external risks. From the perspective of overall risk, people can make a thorough analysis on potential risks SEMs may face during operation, identify the risks in time, can make risk monitor and help SEMs growth stronger and stronger.This thesis creatively proposed to establish an SME financial crisis warning model from the perspective of overall risk monitor. Based on read abundant literature related to the concepts of overall risk and financial crisis early-warning, made an in-depth analysis on overall risk that may make SMEs fall into financial crisis. This part provides a systematic and objective theoretical support for establishment of the warning index system. Then, the author built an applicable financial crisis warningmodel specially for SMEs based on characteristics of SMEs. He used the model in an enterprise and then made clear of the overall risk monitor direction. Providing technical support for strengthening risk monitoring on the SMEs and promoting the sustainable and healthy development of SMEs.
