A Study On The Function Of China - Arab Countries Exposition

China-Arab States Expo comes into being, on account of the deepening relationship between China and Arab States, as an important carrier of strategic fulcrum for Economic Region of Silk Road, and also a strategic platform for cooperation between China and Arab States. The thesis makes an analysis of the function of China-Arab States Expo, puts forward strategies of improving function of China-Arab States Expo, and carries out the economic strategy of Silk Roads, promotes practical cooperation between China and Arab States, and makes contribution to regional economy of Ningxia, containing academic significance and realistic value.The thesis makes research on functions of China-Arab States Expo from the perspective of national strategy, based on the development theory of Exhibition Economy, and the integration of theory and practice, with research methods such as documentary method, field research, aiming at collecting related data of China-Arab States Expo, striving to making an overall and systematic study on functions of China-Arab States Expo.Through illustrating the establishment background of China-Arab States Expo, the paper discovers that China-Arab States Expo appears with the deepening relationship of China-Arab States, and the policy of opening to the west in China. Ningxia, an important region being opening to the outside world in the west of China, takes the exhibition as a platform to seeking ways to be open to the world, meeting with the opportunity that China executes the policy of opening to the west. Therefore, it upgrades from Economic and Trade Forum of China-Arab States to China-Arab States Expo now. After the establishment of China-Arab States Expo, it is clarified to be the strategic positioning playing as strategic fulcrum and important carrier to economic region of Silk Roads Strategy, serving the cooperation of China-Arab States. To clarify the strategic orientation of China-Arab States Expo indicates the direction to make a study of China-Arab States Expo.According to the strategic positioning of China-Arab States Expo, the paper makes an analysis of functions of China-Arab States Expo, including cultural communication, political communication, and economic communication, in which the research focus is economic communicative function, presented as agglomeration of business flow, transmission of information, smooth physical distribution, and accommodation of funds.Based on the analysis of three functions of China-Arab States Expo, it comes out that China-Arab States Expo functions with features such as low level of deepening cooperation, insufficient generalization cooperation and poor effect in restructuring industry in Ningxia. Influencing factors of China-Arab States Expo’s performing functions lies in two aspects. External factors include turmoil of Arab region against the interests demand, huge difference between China and Arab States, and hysterisis of investment and cooperation in China-Arab States trade. And internal factors contain insufficient development of related and supportive industry, lack of high-level Chinese-Arabic translators and defects in mechanism of holding China-Arab States Expo. Under the influence of internal factors and external factors, China-Arab States Expo’s functions have poor performance.By analyzing the characteristics of China-Arab States Expo’s poor performance of functions, the dissertation clarifies the targets and tasks of performing China-Arab States Expo’s functions, aiming at influencing factors restricting the performance of China-Arab States Expo’s functions. It puts forward strategies to improve the performance of China-Arab States Expo’s function, from the perspective of consolidating the basis of a China-Arab cooperation, and improving the deficiencies of China’s holding the Expo, in order to realize the strategic value of China-Arab States Expo.
