CS company is a high-tech enterprise which specializes in port industry logistics informatization. In fierce market competition environment, the operating income of our company from 2012 to 2014 presents a trend of increasing year by year. Our achievements are inseparable with the efforts and dedication of every employee. However, the increase of salary can’t get employees’satisfaction in return, especially software development staff; they generally believe that the salary system lacks incentive function. The re-design of the salary system of software development staff is an urgent problem which needs to be solved. Through investigation and research, this article conducted diagnostic analysis on the current salary system of the company using the basic theories and methods of salary management. Based on the detailed analysis of the existing problems in current salary system of software development staff and its course, we performed optimal design on the salary system.The main contents of this paper are as follows:First, this paper introduced the relevant concepts and theoretical review of salary management and incentive theory and laid a solid theoretical foundation for the optimal design of salary. Second, through the investigation and research on the salary of software development staff this paper analyzed the features of staff and the cause of loss and pointed out the existing problems in the salary system of CS company. At last, this paper performed optimal design on the salary management system of software development staff in CS company. By optimizing implementation guarantee, we pointed out which aspects in the new salary system should be paid attention in practice and summed up the shortcomings.The salary system of software development staff put forward in this paper is designed according to the industries of the company, features of the staff and the relevant assessment requirements of operating performance; in the salary model of software development posts, it is based on post wage and a variety of distribution coexist. The new salary model solves the severe problem of salary equalization; it has strong operability and practical significance.
