| The competition of China’s communications industry is increasingly fierce, since the China Unicom, China Telecom and China Mobile obtained 3G license. On the one hand, due to the rapid development of mobile voice services and popularization, gradually replacing the fixed business in people’s daily life, mobile voice services market share is more and more big, while the fixed services business is down sharply. On the other hand, the 3G business is becoming a new profit growth point and the direction of development. In order to expand the network coverage, improve the quality of the network and increase market share, the three operators carry out network construction immediately when they got the 3G license.China Unicom, used to be a relatively weaker role in the market. How to rapidly set up a high quality 3G network-WCDMA network and occupy the high-end customers market, is becoming the key to reshape the enterprise brand image. Because the large WCDMA network construction project investment, construction schedule is tight, professional division is complex, quality demand of engineering is high, make the project schedule management is very important. In this paper, we use the BeiHai Unicom’s WCDMA network construction project as the research object. First of all, the article elaborate the background and the characteristics of the project. construction. Secondly, using tools such as work breakdown structure, critical path method, method for the preparation of the project schedule. Then combining with the project schedule management theory from the cost factor, organization factor, quality factor, risk factors, four aspects of the project schedule effect are analysed. This article from the operator’s perspective, through the analysis of actual case illustrates the importance of schedule control in project management. We are preparing the coming of 4G network and it is an important significance that China Unicom summarizes the gain and loss in the process of building their own large-scale construction of 4 g communication network. |
