First People's Hospital Of Yunnan Province, The His System Analysis And Design

The current HIS is the old designed two layer structure. It had formed early and based on relatively simple technologies. From the general operation states, it shows that the informationization in this field has just stayed at the level of the management of Out-patient, hospital, charges, pharmacy, pharmaceutical storages, finance and so on., while little innovation and breakthrough has been created in this system. Though it works in a information-based way partly, the patients still have to face to prescription, examination application form, checking application form and some other papers which bring the patients in messes. The advantages of data sharing, time-saving and working convenience can not be revealed in it. The lack of unified planning and integration and the neglect of information standardization combine with the phenomenon of information isolation to confine the development and planning of hospitals. With the continuous development of the Chinese medical service, hospitals have become more busier than ever, thus made the management work become more and more complex.This article gives an detailed depiction of the development process of CIS by exploring the CIS of the People's First Hospital of Yunnan Province. In the first part of the article, it gives the definition of CIS of hospitals, and also briefs its application landscape both at home and abroad and its significance for People's First Hospital of Yunnan Province. The second part of the article deals with the relevant technologies and some models of the current CIS implementations. Through analyzing those technologies, a reasonable technology development approach is selected: Using a C/S development model with object-oriented PowerBuilder 9.0 as the front-end service platform, Oracle 9i as back-stage data base management system. Then by targeting at the general demand of different divisions of the hospital, analyzing demand of general workflow and the branch system workflow to set out objectives and principals of CIS designing in People's First Hospital of Yunnan Province. Then focusing on outpatient management, nurse work station, a detailed introduction of the realization of the system and the source code is given.The last part of the article is an review of the CIS development of People's First Hospital of Yunnan Province.
