In modern medicine science, the ECG (Electrocardiogram, referred to as ECG) is applied by doctors to diagnose heart disease. Therefore, the research on ECG acquisition and automatic ECG analysis has been the hot topic of both domestic and foreign scholars.This paper presents a new technology of non-amplifier ECG acquisition based on Sigma-Delta A/D converter (Σ-△ADC)of high precision. By applying the new technology, the ECG acquired can be transmitted to the DSP for ECG analysis. ECG can also be transmitted to PC for ECG monitoring through LabVIEW.ECG signal is a weak signal, It is a low frequency signal. High-performance amplifiers must be used in traditional ECG acquisition, resulting in circuit complexity, poor stability. This paper presents a new technology of non-amplifier ECG acquisition based on∑-△ADC of high precision, system integration and stability is enhanced. The ARM7TDMI core processor ADuC7060 is selected in system. The 24-bit∑-△ADC with up to 8kHz sampling rate of ADuC7060-chip can get the initial standard lead ECG signal.Based on the fact that ECG signals acquired by ADuC7060 are transmitted to DSP via SPI serial port, this paper aims to present a method for the detection of ECG based on second scale wavelet coefficients of quadratic spline wavelet transform. Due to its small computation, it makes the real-time ECG detection possible on the embedded DSP platform (ADSP-BF533). Meanwhile, the acquired signals can be transmitted to PC for ECG monitoring through LabVIEW and make the ECG data be received, stored and finally displayed on the PC.The technology of non-amplifier ECG acquisition presented in this paper takes ADuC7060 processor as the core processor, by eliminating the large analog circuitry and auxiliary peripheral device to reduce the complexity and testing cost to strengthen the stability of the system and make the software more flexible in upgrading. The ECG acquisition module and the DSP ECG analysis module can form a portable ECG analyzer for users. Besides, ECG acquisition module and the PC compose a ECG monitoring system with scalable functions. Therefore, this ECG monitoring system is of great practical significance.
