Software testing is an important measure to ensure software quality, Software testing throughout the whole software development cycle and play a very important role. This thesis first comprehensive introductions to the concept of software testing then describes typical software testing methods and research results, this thesis presents a software testing methods, based on improved Gompertz model presents software testing time prediction. Extracting data from the practice of software testing project validates the new method. it realize some of the specific process. Experimental results show that:In this thesis the proposed method improve the test effectively. For the end of testing software provide a strong basis and predict the end time of software testing.The thesis main work is as follows:(1) Describes the background and the status of software testing, for the study of the significance of software testing.(2) Describes the concept of software testing, software testing basis theoretical for software testing, software reliability.(3) Firstly introduced a variety of software testing model, software management tools, also proposed concepts based on VSTS tools for the management of entire software testing. Then for VSTS-based management of comprehensive software testing,the implementation in a practical project (IM) program to verify the efficiency of presented ideas. Gives achieve results. Further given the workload and cost in software testing costs, the size of the overall cost of the system also gives the comparison of data with the original model.(4) Part IV It describes the Gompertz model briefly, proposed an improved Gompertz model, given its modeling and parameter estimation Used to verify the improved model, in order to provide a better judging for test end, it is necessary to analyse for the testing process of the defect data, Available to project managers or project managers the results of the analysis of data, to help them to do a end of the project testing time. In the experiment we compared an improved model and the original Gompertz model in predicting the defect rate accuracy, and measured defect data, fitnesss with the measured values in absolute error.The innovation of this thesis is as follows: (1) It presents a comprehensive software testing, using the new strategy tests an actual project. Comparison Cost and efficiency in the original testing method with new ways. In the cost of connection, it spends lesser than traditional test way. The number of discovery of defects more than the traditional test way(2) Used VSTS for the management of the software testing process, A new strategy integrates the comprehensive test and management. VSTS tool has excellent performance in the development for project management, Learning from this performance, it is used to manage the whole process of testing.(3) Improved Gompertz model. Gompertz model parameter is carried out and further amendments. Using measured data to validate the improved model, the results show that the improved model improves the prediction defect accuracy rate. The improved model and the measured values of absolute error rate is less than the original model, but the measured defect data fitting accuracy is better than the original prediction model.
