In last decade, the development of computer technology, especially in the field of computer graphics, has dramatically changed the business on Animation and Comic. 3D graphic was widely used, to design"real"and gorgeous works. Meanwhile, as the wide spreading of the Net and personal computer's occupying the central position of household's media implement, the comic as a type of symbol being translated by the media has been being changed in many forms. People like viewing comic and animation works on the net, However, they can not interact with them. Though, Tv and Pc games seem like a kind of perfect interactive application on the Net, the main application used to view messages on the Net, which names explorer, can generally render 2D(2 dimension) graphic and text.Based on these facts, this essay studied the methods in developing 3D Rendering Plug-In for the explorer, and developed a prototype system. This essay uses X3D standard, and OpenGL graphic library. Firstly, this essay analyzed the standard and the environment of the Explore. Then studied and designed a plan and relative algorithm to render 3D data by adding the Plug-In to WebKit based explorer. The development considered and modified the existing method for 3D rendering engine, such as abstract factory using as rendering model interface, and tree based SceneManager. In the end, this essay summarized my work, and prospected the study field of Web3D.
