Recently, with the development of digital television broadcasting techniques, the ways to receive TV signal become more and more diversify. And the wireless, high clarity has become a trend. There were several Terrestrial Digital Broadcasting standards exist before China's Terrestrial Digital Multimedia TV/Handle Broadcasting standards (DMB-TH) was published, this caused the industries related had a low passion and the public had a high TV program receiving expense. As DMB-TH published in 2007, digital television industry got a further development. In one hand the increasing material and cultural needs of the people got satisfied and the innovation ability of the industries related got improved on the other hand.The traditional DSP system development required a high investment in human power, funding and techniques. This dissertation utilizes a novel way to design the key modules of the DMB-TH standards. That is with the use of DSP Builder to build up models and simulate functionally. At the same time using the mechanism of hard ware in loop (HIL) to do the final testing works on Altera DE1 FPGA platform. Several key algorithms were studied in the last part of the dissertation. The detailed contents are listed below.With the research on DMB-TH standards, the technique characters of the key modules were analyzed, the ways to develop them and the hardware platform were briefly introduced.Then the whole system was divided into three main parts: channel coding, channel modulation, and frame structure. Design, functional simulation and timing simulation were made to the modules in these parts. And the co-simulation both software and hardware involved was proceeded to some key modules. In the channel coding part, scrambler, FEC encoder, interleaver and de-interleaver (two modes), system information generator were designed and simulated. In the channel modulation part, constellation mapping and de-mapping module (four modes) were designed as well as the OFDM module. In the frame structure part, frame head generator, frame body multiplexer, frame builder block were designed and tested. In the last part of this dissertation the problem of high peak to average ratio (PAR) was studied, with the analysis and simulation of the classic algorithms SLM and PTS, two improved algorithms were raised which improved both the algorithm complicity and the performance of the PAR.
