Class Electronic Portfolio System Design

The development of information technology has broken the time and space boundaries of human's studying, working and life, and what's more, brought new room for the improvement and performing of human's ability. The 21th century's information technology with a core of multimedia technology and network technology has already become a creative tool which can expand human's ability. Therefore, it has become a development trend to use computer technology to establish an electronic portfolio.Compared with traditional ones, there are much more advantages to record the developmental process of students with electronic portfolios, which have a greater storage capacity, an easier way to preserve,consult,carry and manage, a simpler approach to operate,exchange and exhibit. Especially, using the web-portfolios which are developed by database technology will have much more freedom to operate,exchange and exhibit.In this design, ASP+Access technology is adopted to achieve an objective and comprehensive appraisal based on portfolio for appraisal object. The achievements that students believe can prove their improvements in study, spirits of innovation and knowledge expertise are mainly collected and token as a foundation to evaluate the students'state of studying and improving. Both functions of foreground and background are carried out in the electronic portfolio. The former has 7 modules that new user register,classes selec,view and edit personal information,classes electronic portfolio,information of discussion board,information of sharing zone and works showing are included, and the latter has 6 modules that administrator login,eachers'information management,classes information management,system settings,data backup and recovery,alter personal data and password are included.
