In recent years, RFID technology has been gradually applied in logistics, manufacturing, retail and other fields. Because of the cost and other reasons, RFID products are used for heavyweight application environments in the large enterprise. However, with the development of RFID technology, the reduction of tags cost, RFID's advantages are more and more obvious. In addition, a variety of small smart devices continue to increase processing capacity, they also start to integrate RFID applications. As one of key technologies in RFID application, the research of middleware is still in the exploratory stage for smart devices in China, which will severely restrict the application and promotion of RFID technology. Therefore, to consider the limited resources and lightweight applications for smart devices, this thesis designs a lightweight RFID management middleware and achieves multi-function card platform in the mobile environment.The first part of this thesis introduces the basic knowledge of RFID technology and RFID middleware, and researchs the working principle of RFID and RFID Middleware role in the RFID system. In the second part, the thesis first researchs the architecture of typical middleware, points the defects which don't apply to lightweight applications, and proposes lightweight RFID management middleware which is used to solve the's problem of high demand for running platform for RFID middleware. Then, according to RFID middleware's needs, the thesis divides lightweight RFID management middleware's module and designs the basic functions of each module. Finally, the thesis achieves services from the event, data and configuration management in the three areas. In the third part, the thesis achieves multi-function card platform based on lightweight RFID management middleware. First, the thesis analyses the card's needs and designs architecture of card platform. Then, the thesis designs user's memory organizational structure of Gen2 tags, and achieves user's access operations by extending the Gen2 tag reading and writing method. Finally, according to card function, the thesis analyses card's data, designs corresponding database, and achieves the multi-function card platform at last. The thesis's main contributions are as follows:(1) Proposes the architecture of lightweight RFID management middleware.(2) Extends reading and wrting operitons for Gen2 tag.(3) Achieves multi-function card platform based on lightweight RFID management middleware.
