Design And Implementation Of Mobile Communication Base Station Performance Monitoring System

With people's increasingly high demands upon communication, it has become future goal to have fast and reliable communication services at any time, anywhere, and to any person. Due to the continuing expand of network, network operation performance has become a very important factor for consideration. As a major part of Mobile Communication Network, Base Stations'stable performance plays a very important part in the network running. There are so many factors affecting the performance of wireless base stations. That's the reason why it is essential to perform real-time monitoring to many pairs of base station.This thesis deals with in-depth study on base station performance monitoring system structure, principle, features, complete system security, stability, real time and operational maintenance. System uses varies technologies like C/S architecture, MAPINFPO graphics processing, FTP protocols based on data download and so on, to solve real-time monitoring system monitoring and alarm, background, operation and maintenance in order to achieve data acquisition, conversion and alarm automation, digital and graphical management information base stations. In the system structure, the system is divided into foreground and background data management system for data processing system in accordance with the overall framework of the monitoring system. In the module design, it is divided into file download module, data extraction dump module, the current traffic data processing module, EXCEL data conversion module, graphic display and alarm modules, as well as history records query module to achieve overall system design and functionality.The base station performance monitoring system studied in this thesis has been successfully applied to CMCC's network operation and maintenance platform. Real-time monitoring service, which is based on this system, can provide significant data support to CMCC's network development and performance management. The development and application of the base station performance monitoring system are changing CMCC's operating mode of performance data monitoring and analysis work, which has made data analysis and processing basically automatized,. Also, it has greatly improved work efficiency and liberated the productivity.
