Following the rapid development of electronic and communication technology, positioning technology becomes more and more maturely and plays more and more important role in all aspects of social economy. Positioning system can be divided into two categories: satellite positioning system(GPS positioning system; beidou positioning system) and real-time location system. In order to make sure the safety of some things, these things must be located in specific course and this positioning system uses the real-time location technology based on the environment requires. Real-time location system uses the passive location technology, uses the received signals to location and includes following technology: AOA (Angle of Arrival) technology,TOA (Time of Arrival) technology,FDOA (Frequency Difference of Arrival) technology,TDOA (Time Difference of Arrival) technology,Hybrid location technology and so on.Real-time location system is a wireless communication system, RF transmitter is an important part of wireless communication system and its performance will decide the wireless communication system. RF transmitter includes the following function module: Band-pass Filter, Up-converter, Local Oscillator, Power Amplifier. Following the development of integrated circuit, these function modules have been made chip and the RF transmitter design becomes more easily by using these chips. This design is called hybrid RF-circuit design, it determines the function module performance based on the communication system and chooses proper function chip, designs and debugs the peripheral circuit of the function module chips.This paper researches the design of location system RF transmitter, this design is hybrid RF circuit design using concerning function module chip. This paper introduces the common technique of location system and the RF transmitter structure, and introduces the function module of RF circuit and the position and function of these modules, gives the performance of these function module chips. In order to achieve maximum gain or efficiency in RF circuit design, Impedance matching is an important factor, so this paper introduces some matching methods. This paper gives the impedance matching of Up-converter and Power amplifier by using ADS, because impedance matching design will become easily by using ADS. This paper introduces the design of two major function modules: coupled band-pass filter and power amplifier. Meanwhile this paper gives the system simulation of entire RF transmitter and simulates the system gain and transmit power and gives the schematic circuit and PCB of the RF transmitter. At last this paper gives the concerning test results and analyses the result.
