Sonar transmitter is an important element in active sonar system. According to thesystem requirement, this paper designed and made a broadband high-power transmitter formulti-channel parametric array.By means of simulation with Matlab, this paper used Delta-Sigma modulator tomodulate a CW pulse and a sine-wave-enveloped CW pulse respectively and got theircorresponding bit stream outputs. Once the code is written and programmed in FPGA,FPGA could output the correct bit streams. In order to realize the high-power transmission of sonar signal, this paper carried on aresearch on the type of power amplification circuit and elaborately select the components inthe circuit. When welding was finished, partial parameter with importance of single-channelpower amplification circuit was tested. Besides, this paper took a research in impedancematching of transducer and got meaningful results after doing corresponding experiments inthe pool. To guarantee sufficient heat dissipation of the components, this paper made alarge-area cooling fin as well as a firm, portable and beautiful crate. According to theexperimental results in Channel Pool, the transmitter designed in this paper could transmit40kHz CW pulse with transmitting source level of234dB, which meets designrequirements.
