In the digital television receiver system,digital TV broadcasting further popularize, digital TV broadcasting prosper and develop,it is a key proble how to let application run in a transparent environment without carring about the detail of the infrastructure,such as different operation system and hardware platform. The DTV middleware is a kind of use of component-based design system technology,it is consistent with DTV system for real-time requirements,as well as on efficiency and resources constraints.It allows multimuedia applications to run in different infrastructure and help application to write once,run everywhere.Meanwhile,it reduces the cost of the management of the digital broadcasting and let the customers spend less money and enjoying more digital services.Therefore,the world's major manufacturers have invested a lot of money and human to research the high-performance DTV middleware.The dissertation briefly describes the principles, major technologies and standard of digital television broadcasting system, it provide an overview of digital television middleware, highlights Changhong Digital TV Middleware architecture, as well as some key components's analysis and design of digital TV middleware.During completing of dissertation, study digital television middleware, use hierarchical model and references the mind of software component to design digital TV middleware,use C language programming to implement these key components of digital TV middleware, for example,route,data engine,services scan,conditional access and electronic program guide and so on. Take advantage of these packages,standardized,reusable software components,to build a common framework of standard software platform for DTV—Digital TV Middleware. Use STi5197 and NEC EMMA chipsets to set up different hardware platform. Run the Changhong digital TV middleware software on these different hardware platform and operating system. Verify the stability and universal of middleware system framework,and verify the function of these components.In this dissertation, analyse, design and implement these key common components of Changhong Digital TV Middleware, analyzing the system performance, testing the system, mainly studying the data engine components,services scan component,conditional access and EPG components. After more than a year perfecting the design debug and test, to run on different digital TV receivers,Changhong Digital TV Middleware has been extended to five markets products,the project has passed expertise appraisal, achieved the demand and gained good performance expected before.
