The Research Of Mobile Application Middleware Component Technology Based On BREW

With the widespread of 3G service,the application function of mobile becomes much more stronger.As a main developement platform of mobile applications,BREW has to provide much more comprehensive and well-targeted services so as to meet the requirement of times.lt always refers to some interface generation operations during the development of mobile application program,but there isn't reference pointed service in BREW,so developers have to start the design of interfaces from scratch everyonce.That greatly drops the development efficiency.This article brings and designs an Middleware based on BREW platform with the function of interface management,the aim is to solve the problems relevant to interface generation and management during program development.The Middleware locates between the underlying running circumstance and upper-layer application,and applies the extension principle of BREW.As to concrete implementation,the Middleware is partitioned into two layers:Platform Layer and Core Modules Layer. Platform Layer is also called OEM SiP layer,it lies on the lowest layer and its main responsibility is interacting with underlying hardware system and providing interface supporting to Core Modules Layer. Core Modules Layer is the core section of Middleware,the two function class it contains is interface drawing class and interface operation class,and its main responsibility is interface drawing,control creation and some relevant operation. With the help of this Middleware,much operation that relevant to interface generation can easly be done by invocationing the function provided by the Middleware,that simplifies the development mostly.Also,we compares BREW system and the COM of Windows system both on Architectures and on running principle deeply in this article,analysises and studies the inner enforce and running mechanism of BREW component system, and bringes forward the improvement and extension which BREW has but COM doesn't.At the last of this article,we carry out an application software of phonebook based on the Middleware.Different from the traditional development way,this application is divided into three layers according to the Middleware during the development,that is APP application layer,OEM achievement layer and service layer. The operation that relevant to the interface generation is finished by invocating the function interface designed in the Middleware.
