Military Academies Native Retrieval System Design And Implementation

Documentation and Information service is important in the teaching and research activities of academy. For military academy, the primary document source is more important. It can reflect the professional standards of academic institutions and it is the necessary resources for the teachers and students as it is from the practice of military education and research. But now the primary document source has the following features: the great varieties, huge data, different forms, individual data base for different source, lacking of united system of retrieval and publish data. All these made it difficult for the primary docament source to work as whole. So we have to integrate primary documents and establish a unified search platform, in order to apply the documents appropriately and improve the utilization.This thesis makes a thorough research on the data character of primary document source, and chooses Doblin Core metadata for a reference to design a metadata form of primary document source, which is practical in military academy. It also studies the basic principle and methods of resource integration and integrates the academic primary document source through the technology of Data warehouse.The thesis expounds the design thought of information retrieval system of the primary document source in military academy and the process of each functional module, summarizes the result of research and looks into the future development. The thesis builds a good foundation for the development of the information service of primary document source in military academy.
