The"one-active"linear array synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is a new three- dimensional (3-D) SAR system, which uses a linear array antenna mounted in traverse direction to synthesize a 2-D virtural antenna array with the motion of the platform to achieve the along track and the cross track resolution; combing with the pulse compression technique in the range direction, the 3-D resolutions are obtained. Based on the features of The"one-active"3-D SAR , this dissertation mainly researches the signal model, the 3-D theory resolution , the project of the"one-active"3-D SAR experimental system, the design of experimental program, the processing of experiment data and the experiment errors. The main contents of this dissertation are as follows:1. Based on"One-active"3-D SAR system structure, the signal model is derived, and the 3-D theory resolution is studied. The simulation result of typical antenna phase trajectory is obtained. The 3-D back projection imageing algorithm which is suitable for"one-active"3-D SAR system is introduced.2. The"one-active"3-D SAR experimental system based on the 2-D motion mudule, which reduces the difficulty of engineering implementation, is introduceed.3. Start with testing the reliability of experimental system, then imaging of simple target, finally the imaging of surface target, a series of experiment which are used to verify the feasibility of the"one-active"3-D SAR experimental system, are designed.4. The process of imaging in the"one-active"3-D SAR experiment is introduced. The main imaging results are obtained, which verify the feasibility of the"one-active"3-D SAR experimental principle. The main problems in the experiment are studied.5. Three major system errors presented in the"one-active"3-D SAR experiment, which is startup synchronization error, PRF error and obliquity error, are analyzed. Two methodes to correct them are introduced, wichh is verifyed with experimental data.
