The precise, reliable, and high effective position measurement and space location system based on environmental information is the key technique applied to improve the adapting ability of the autonomous mobile vehicle. At present, because of the complicated information processing, 3D vision has bad reliability and speediness and can't meet the requirement in real work. The space location system based on the one-dimensional PSD has the high speediness and precision. With the fast sampling velocity, it can realize real time location in dynamic environment. When modulated signal is used, it has the good feature of working in all weather. This paper researches the location system with PSD. The main work as follows:At first, the paper puts forward the mathematical model of the space location system, the location principle of PSD and the correction algorithm based on the pin-hole model. In addition, artificial neutral network is applied build the model of the system to realize the location of the space object point.Then, the system is designed according to the location principle. The system is composed of some functional modules including the signal source, the PSD cameras, the signal processing circuit, the multiplexer board, data processing and the location computation, power etc. The modulated infrared source and a series of method of signal processing is applied to realize the acquisition of the available signal. The adapting ability and the robustness of the location system is improved and the 3D measurement precision is guaranteed.Finally, the error produced by the system is analysed and many methods are applied to counteract the influence of the error. The system measurement precision is improved evidently.In general, with the rapid sampling velocity and high resolution, the space location system with PSD device can realize the high precision 3D measurement. The technique is feasible and effective. The precision meets the requirement in many fields.
