In recent years, with the constant development of electronic science and technology, all kinds of modern equipment design and manufacturing systems are more complex.A wide variety of applications of the distributed processing system architecture, intelligent information processing, and large scale integrated circuit devices and high-performance computers and other advanced technologies take enormous difficulties to the test of modern electronic equipment maintenance, which are urgently needed more general, transplantation better, more technologically advanced automated test systems. Test Program Sets (TPS) and its development and operating environment in the automatic test system has a crucial role. Because the more the lack of domestic, we need to self-developed TPS development and runtime environment.This paper introduces the concept of automatic test systems and the basic structure, then by researching and analysising a few typical foreign TPS development and runtime environment, to establish the circuit board fault diagnosis system for TPS development and runtime environment for design and development course. The second chapter in-depth analysis of TPS development and runtime environment based on demand, a detailedly describe the design of the visual development environment and runtime environment of the overall structure of the design and function module.In the third chapter the paper describes the TPS development environment based on Visio implementation scheme, in the theoretical study and software based on the overall design.The TPS development environment based on Visio's visual programming environment includes the realization of the development of the code converter, and build connections generate dynamic sequence of functional modules. Visual development environment using Visio drawing control on the development of automation technology is the first attempt in the test area, an important innovation.
