The thesis first introduces the development of equipment maintenance system and monitoring and diagnosis techniques. Then, current status for equipment monitoring and diagnosis of Pan Steel is analyzed. As a result, a project of equipment status monitoring system and its implementation is put forward. The system enables the equipment status of Pan Steel fully controlled, gradually realizes predictive maintenance and network management, and greatly promotes the equipment management level.The system adopts a mixed structure of C/S and B/S, and can be divided into information access layer, data sampling layer, regional management layer, and central management layer. Information access layer accesses equipment status information. Data sampling layer samples and saves the information sent by information access layer, and sends it to regional server. Regional management layer manages and diagnoses the equipments of the region itself, and seven regional servers are set up. Central management layer manages and diagnoses the equipment of the whole Pan Steel. On the composition of the system, there are mainly four subsystems: online monitoring subsystem, spot inspection subsystem, network subsystem, and training subsystem. Online monitoring subsystem and spot inspection subsystem locate in information access layer and data sampling layer. Network subsystem which locates in regional management layer and central management layer realizes the functions of network monitoring, network management and diagnosis. Training subsystem which locates in every layer of the system provides diagnosis knowledge for all staff of Pan Steel.Finally, the software and hardware of subsystems are designed with realization approaches and results in the paper according to design principles and functional requirements. Many signal analysis functions, the modules of intelligent diagnosis and human-computer co-diagnosis are provided by the system. It is effectively, safely and economically for the equipment of Pan Steel.
