Informationization of personnel management is a necessary trend in the development of modern enterprises. Compared with the traditional management, the personnel information manegement using computers has unparalleled advantages such as rapid search, convenience of check, flexibility of management, high reliability, large storage capacity, confidentiality, a good long life, low cost, and so on. These virtues can greatly improve the efficiency of personnel management and they are important factors of the scientific enterprise and standardized management.The large number and information diversity of personnel management determined that the best settlement for development of the system is the B / S model. The development based on the Web platform can ensure the flexibility, expansibility and maintainability which can improve the system development efficiency. Personnel Management System is a typical MIS applications including establishment and maintenance of back-end database and front-end application development.Based on the actual need of the Personnel information management for the Pengxi Printing House, this paper completed the personnel management system design and implementation based on B / S model, committed to addressing the practical application of the unit, a large number of dynamic data and information in real-time accurate analysis of processing, to minimizing labor-intensive process information to help SMEs to standardize personnel information and quantitative management faster and better.This paper mainly sets forth the related technical principles of the development of the personnel management system, accounts for the design backgrounds and practical values of the project and discusses the main programming and flow of the system based on Web platform. The development tools are the popular ASP technology and Microsoft Access 2000.Through the analysis of the existing personnel manegement systems development, this paper explored the model to deal with the development of the system, focusing on functional needs analysis. We have particularly investigated and studied the Pengxi Printing House and fixed on the overall requirement according to consumers'needs. This system consisted of two functional modules. The foreground included the modules for consumers'entry, login, inquirement of the staff information and modification of the personnel data while the background for administrators'entry, inquirement, addition, modification and deletion of the staff information. The consumers can enjoy all kinds of services afforded by the foreground conveniently and the administrators can finish the ordinary management work via the two modules. Based on the analysis of the needs of system functions, we finished the specific system design and function realization. The successful completion of system testing convinced that the whole system satisfied the needs described in the analysis and the anticipated aims should have been achieved.
