Conformal antenna has become a topic of considerable interest in antenna design because of its special advantages. Metal carrier has been fully discussed in many papers, but there is few papers talking about dielectric carrier. JMCFIE is used to analyze the antenna in this thesis. Compared with VIE, JMCFIE generates fewer meshes because of surface mesh.At the same time, PSO is used to synthesize the array antennas. PSO is a robust global search method, which has been used to solve general N-dimension, linear and nonlinear optimization problems.Firstly, this thesis depicts the basic theory of JMCFIE and application to the composite conducting and dielectric targets. This thesis also introduces how to analyze and obtain JMCFIE equation for different problems.Secondly, two source models are introduced to analyze the radiation of antenna. Then, conformal array is analyzed using EFIE-JMCFIE with the introduced source model. Compared with simulation software HFSS and FEKO, the results are all agreement with each other. This demonstrates the accuracy and correctness of the programme. It also means that EFIE-JMCFIE can be used to analyze large arrays or thick dielectric carrier because of its fewer unknowns compared with VSIE.At last, PSO and its application in the synthesis of array antenna are introduced in this thesis. Compare with GA, PSO shows high performance in the synthesis of array antenna. The corss factor is used in PSO to increase the diversity of the particles and it is easily found that better results are obtained using the modified PSO.
