With the development of microwave technology, antenna, as an important part of the radar and communication systems, has always been focused on. Since the power and phase balance of power divider determine the energy distribution of the antenna, in turn affect the gain. Thus, feed network is an important part when designing the antenna. In this paper, with the substrate integrated waveguide(SIW) technology, the designs of slot array antenna(SAA) and its feeding network is studied and several microstrip patch array antenna are also designed in the sidelobe level optimization of SAA for comparison. The content of this thesis are as follows:(1) The study and design of the SIW slot array antenna and the microstrip patch array antenna. A 16-way power-divider is designed with an operating band of 33.5GHz-35.7GHz on a substrate integrated waveguide in Rogers5880 substrate. The insertion loss is within the bandwidth between 33.5GHz and 35.7GHz(<0.5d B for each unit)and the return loss is below-15 d B. An 8×8 antenna works in Ka-band array is designed based on the proposed 16-way power divider. The gain of the array can achieve 20 d B with the side lobe of-28 d B on E-plane.(2) In order to deepen the understanding of low side-lobe antenna, a 12-way power divider in Ka-band is designed, with the substrate of Rogers3850. The gain of the antenna can achieve 20 d B and the side lobe level is below-26 d B on both E-plane and H-plane.(3) The study and design of conformal antenna array. The two proposed array proposed previously in our work have been conformed to a cylindrical surface with a radius of 150 mm, separately. Comparing with the results on planar, both S11 of conformal arrays have some frequency offset and the change of the microstrip antenna is less obvious than the slot antenna. In the aspect of antenna pattern, the sidelobe of slot antenna has become worse. However, the main lobe of the microstrip antenna becomes wider as the radius of the cylindrical surface increases.
