With the development of network technology, network computer has been widely used.But in the rural and education areas, the issues of security and maintenance become important factors to impede its further promotion. In order to slove network computer maintenance issue and reduce maintenance cost and complexity, a remote maintenance system with remote configuration and breakpoint recovery is proposed and developed.This system is mainly divided into three parts:fault diagnosis, reconfiguration and breakpoint recovery. Fault diagnosis module is responsible for detecting fault of network terminal system (including operating system and hardware module), and send fault diagnosis report to the server, which will implement corresponding fault handling according to the report. Reconfiguration is responsible for remote hardware configuration using IRL mechanism. Breakpoint recovery is responsible for rolling back operating system to a state before fault occurrence.This solution mainly equips with the following functions:(1)Remote fault detection:opportunity of fault detection is automatically determinied by itself. It sends a fault report system to server in case that a fault is diagnosed.According to target fault report, corresponding remote maintenance scheme will be implemented to fault target by server.(2) Remote fault matainance:surpported by IRL mechanism, NC can be matained, upgraded, reconstructed, debuged and monitored through Internet, thus maintenance costs can be reduced. When hardware malfunction is detected, the NC can be remotly implemented hardware logic reconstruction through IRL mechanism.(3) Supporting SOPC reconfiguration:for reconfigurable hardware platform, the existing reconfiguration method is using CPU to complete configuration through CPU. Through adding supporting mechanism of serial configuration device to operating system, EPCS instead of CPU is applied to realize remote function reconfiguration.(4) Breakpoint recovery:Through adding breakpoint recovery module to OS,OS with exception fault is restored to a recent normal state.Through applying the solution to SANC, experiments show that it can not only make use of network to inspect NC in distant areas, but also utilize distant resources of expert knowledge to realize remote fault diagnosis and maintenance.
