Wireless Mobile Ad Hoc Network is the aggregation of hardware and software including wireless transmitter-receivers and computers based on the wireless packets network. It is so due to that all mobile terminals in the network are equal and self-organized, there is no need to pre-deploy any infrastructure or centralized administration the topology is dynamically changing the bandwidth and energy are also limited. So it's abundant uses in military wireless communication and other conditions in emergency.Because of mobile Ad hoc networks is self-organized, mufti-hop, topology dynamic-changed, this particularity made it impossible that the technology of traditional wire networks were directly used in Ad hoc networks, for this reason, many new protocols and technologies are required for ad hoc networks, such as channel connection technology, safety and route technology and so on. This paper focuses on Ad hoc networks route technology, discusses pre-active table driven among route technology as research direction. This dissertation, at the very beginning, introduces the definition, origin, history, Applications, system structure and key technology of the mobile ad hoc network. Then, analyze its routing protocol and introduce the typical protocol.Compared and analyzed with some other currently popular network simulator the open-source NS2(Network Simulator V2)is chosen by this dissertation as a tool. After describing the process of simulation, this dissertation does simulations on four routing protocols(DSDV,DSR,AODV,OLSR)by different mobile scenes. Thirdly, a detailed analysis is made in OLSR protocol. From analysis, revealing the shortcoming of MPR selecting that it may results in so many redundancy node possibly in MPR set. Then an improved OLSR, which delete the redundancy node in MPR set by sorting and judging again, is presented. Simulation results show that the improved OLSR has good performance on the number of send TC packets, received TC Packets'number by all nodes, packet delivery fraction and average end-to-end delay. So the improved OLSR reduce the TC packets'flooding, and improve the network performance. At last, summarizes this paper, at the same time, suggestions for research are given.
