Industrial Ethernet Access Gateway Applications

With the development of the information process on mining, CAN Bus and Industrial Ethernet are more and more used in the mine building. CAN bus is a kind of high-speed communication bus for industrial equipment. It has a series of advantages, such as simple data, highly real-time, reliability and so on. And it is generally used in the mining equipment control layer. But in the layer of data management about mining, industrial Ethernet based on standard TCP/IP protocols has been widely used and it is an indisputable fact. Therefore, the study about connectivity between the CAN bus and Ethernet has an important practical signifiCANce.This thesis offers an solution about connectivity between the CAN bus and Ethernet on the basis of studies about them and the analysis the specific features of industrial Ethernet Gateway. Through the design of the specific hardware and software, CAN network and Industrial Ethernet CAN access eath other seamlessly and efficiently. And also control and management are unified. At the same time, this thesis has standardized the information of application layer and unified the data format of a variety of monitoring equipment according to the characteristics of Coal Mine Monitoring System. It is useful for the management layer on data processing.Test results show that the gateway CAN accomplish seamless connectivity between industrial Ethernet and CAN bus and the system runs stable and reliable.
