WebService since the last century the birth of 90 years, played a significant role in the platform's interaction. RPC-style WebService based differently, REST-style WebService has been improved in many areas. Traditional WebService covers SOAP, WS standard stack, UDDI and other related technologies. In some small-scale environments it achieved great success, but the promotion of Web environment has given rise to many problems, such as complicated interfaces and architecture and scalability along with low performance, and so on. Moreover, the reality is far removed from WebService and Web theory, it is almost completely abandoned all the features of Web, which started to negate the Web as a platform for distributed development potentially, but why they would change a simple, resource-based and Web-based HTTP protocol conversion into a complex, hidden resources, and completely divorced from the HTTP protocol WebService.RESTful architecture really makes the WebService return to the right track. The REST (Representational State Transfer) is a Web development design guidelines to guide practice. Based on the essential characteristics of REST and the Web from multiple angles compared the two kinds of style of the WebService, respectively, RPC mechanism and REST-style, using ROA (Resource-Oriented Architecture) that is resource-oriented architecture development of RESTful WebService, the final summarizes the design steps and principles of its development to achieve a combination of theory and time. The main part of this paper, ROR (Ruby onRails) of REST framework designed and implemented a network of community Web2.0 applications. Through the resource-oriented play Web essential features, using a unified interface to control the resources, so that a multi-client interoperability can be solved, thereby circumventing the RPC mechanism, exposing its internal algorithms need complex programming language style interface. Interface GM, and better scalability, and components can be deployed independently, emphasizing the application of the HTTP protocol, are the characteristics of the service with the same time, their adoption of the URI naming mechanism and XML (Extensible Markup Language).RESTful WebService-based RPC mechanism for multi-dimensional comparison WebService placed in the next chapter, a clear comparison of the structure to make their respective advantages and disadvantages at a glance.
