The elevator guide rail, as elevator's guidance system, is an important component affecting the security and comfortableness of elevator. Most rails'straightness could not meet requirements after cold-work, need straightening machines to enhance their straightness performance. With the rapid development of the elevator guide rail industry and the continuous improvement of rail's precision, the traditional manual straightening is already unable to satisfy the technological requirements of high precision guide rails and the need of mass production. According to the contract signed with a guide rail company, combined with the particularities of the elevator guide rail's straightness detection, designes a straightening system through fixing guide rail and moving straightening console. This approach is an innovative development in the production field of guide rail.Firstly, this thesis studies straightening theory, compares several control methods of straightening stroke and determines the appropriate straightening stroke which satisfies the system. Based on the elastic-plastic theory, combined with the section complex and asymmetrical characteristic of T guide rail, establishes its side and top's load-deflection model, calculates the T guide rail's straightening stroke empirical formula based on the model.Secondly, the thesis deals with the construction of the overall structure and design of operational logics of the system. The hardware platform is developed with laser displacement sensor, multi-axis motion controller, servo motor, stepping motor and industrial control computer and so on. Taking account of the actual environment in which the system may work, the design of motion controller, servomotor driver, step motor driver is discussed in detail.Finally, according to the straightening movement logic and the system's requirements, the thesis designs the overall software framework of the system and develops the application software based on multi-threading technology, database technology, Winsock network technology and Windows-based precision timing technology under the background of the Visual C++. According to the actual needs of users, the thesis supply a friendly interactive environment, and represents modules of logging query, the user information management, database empty, parameter setting, rail curves query and so on.
