Magnet wire industry makes the basic material supply for household electrical appliances, automobiles, telecommunications and electronic. The quality of wire coating enamel is very important to the performance of the magnet wire. In the past the way to produce wire coating enamel was so complicated that the workers had to control the equipment themselves. But it did not wok accurately enough.By the detailed analysis of the insulating paint production process, this paper designed a Distributed Control System (DCS) which is based on JX-300XP platform for the wire coating production lines. The system obtains real-time data by the sensor in the factory. The control station makes the data processed and then sends control commands to the equipment for implementation. We also completed the design of real-time monitoring interface. So the operator can monitor the manufacturing processes in real-time and alarms if in need. We can output the history information of the parameters conveniently.The precision of temperature control is an important factor for the stability of the product. The temperature control of the reactor is a typical nonlinear control system with a long time delay. We made the configuration by SCX programming and FBD programming for the system. During the process, fuzzy control and PID control are used to make sure the precision of temperature control is up to the standard.
