Traffic signal control is one of the most effective methods for traffic management. In the study of the relationship between traffic signal control and traffic flow changed with time and space, there is the need for a proper traffic analysis tool. As a platform for traffic analysis, traffic control simulation system used complex computer technology to reproduce complex traffic situations, to predict and simulate the effects of the new control measures, made a reasonable assessment of the performance of the signal control.This system used VC++as a development tool, combined with geographic information system technology, computer technology, traffic simulation technology, based on MapX control to the second development, built the map structure of a geographical data as the background. In accordance with the system's basic requirements, the general framework of the system is proposed and system function modules are realized. According to traffic flow characteristics and features of the vehicle, traffic flow simulation is divided into four parts, car-generation, car-following, vehicle stranded, vehicle left, to facilitate traffic flow data and to reduce the system's computational complexity. In addition, this paper which analyzed basic methods of traffic control achieves a fuzzy multi-phase control strategy of a single intersection, and provides the corresponding performance evaluation. Based on the realization of a single intersection traffic control simulation, the coordinated control of two adjacent road intersections is simulated. The simulation method this paper provided can be applied to the traffic control simulation in multi-junctions or even urban areas.
