High-end talent in the talent pyramid spire is the key to the small number of personnel groups. How to define the characteristics of such talent is the key to select and fetch in high-end talent initiative.Existing research define high-end talent only from the theoretical level or from the already generated social outcomes, not from implicit mental or cognitive characteristics, and still not focus on the high-end talent of a particular industry,which are adverse for our country not only to cultivate high-end talent in order to reserve according talent,but also to find the high-end talent in order to maximize exert their value and bring more benefit for the corporation and country.Software high-end talent is the backbone of the software industry, Who decide the level of a country's core software technology and the high and low of competitive position. It is of great significance to study the psychological characteristics and the impact of growth factors of high-end software programming talent. This study selected 30 Beijing software company human resources manager and the 30 high-end software programming talent, and use the method of depth interview and questionnaire to research the personality characteristic,ability characteristic,the motivation of engage in software industry and the factors of growing process.The preliminary findings of research are:1.Software programming talent has the following characteristics:rich professional knowledge and skills, innovation capacity, the overall analytical ability, intelligence, interpersonal skills, good management ability, logical thinking ability.2.The important psychological characteristics of Beijing high-end software programming talent can be departed into six aspects:comprehensive motivation, thinking style and effective self-regulation (including the unique and creative thinking, flexible thinking,,good at association, stable emotion,good at action), the vision and foresight (including self-confident, willing to try, foresight, profound knowledge), self-determination orientation (including work hard, energetic, responsible, independent), high adversity quotient (including analyzing themselves, compression resistance, like challenge, persistence and perseverance), and positive self-state (including cooperation and exchanges, enterprise, good at absorbing new knowledge).3.The comprehensive motivation of Beijing high-end software programming talent include not only has intrinsic interest in the software itself and willing to explore, high degree of external motivation (ideals, aspirations), but also including pleasant mood from working in the software programming,in which having intrinsic interest in engaging in software industry is the main motivation (accounted for 92.59% of the total number of respondents).4.The factors of growing process of Beijing Software programming talent are books, parents, school teachers, university teacher and the learning atmosphere,which are arranged by importance.
