Faced with fierce market competition and increasing personalized product demand,mixed-flow production of multi-variety and small-batches has gradually become the mainstream production mode of enterprises.Due to the uncertainty of market demand and the influence of random disturbance events in the production process, the operator's operation continuity will be disturbed by the task interruptions. In particular,in the manual assembly lines of mixed flow production, the identification, capturing and assembly of parts require the operator to maintain a high degree of concentration.Task interruption will cause an increase in the operators' brain cognitive load, which will lead to an increase in the incidence of human error and unsafe behavior, affecting the stability and continuity of the production system.Meanwhile, task interruptions will interfere with the implementation of the original production plan and human resources allocation scheme, and increase the management cost. The operator's personality is an important factor for the performance difference, which influences the behavior by affecting the individuals' perception of the event. When faced with interruption pressure, there are differences in the coping style and performance between type A/Bs.Therefore,it is necessary to consider the influence of personality traits while exploring the impact mechanism of interruption events on operator's performance and cognitive load in order to formulate effective coping strategies after the occurrence of interruption events,so as to reduce the negative impact of task interruptions on enterprise production costs.Based on the field investigation of enterprises and literature review, this paper simulates the real assembly environment in the laboratory background, and designs the interruption coordination method and similarity of the LEGO model manual assembly experiment with NIRS and EEG monitoring operators' brain activity.During the experiment, the operators' error rate, resumption lag, average assembly time, oxyhemoglobin concentration,EEG cognitive state and workload and NASA-TLX indicators were recorded.Through statistical analysis, the effects of task interruption on the operational performance and cognitive load of Type A/Bs were studied. The results suggest that task interruption will cause a reduction in the resumption performance after interruption in assembly operation. The cognitive load of the operator changes dynamically at each stage of interruption and personality and interruption coordination methods has a significant effect on cognitive load. The research results further develop the application of cognitive load and working memory theories in the field of manual assembly operations, and provide new ideas for the study of mitigating the negative effects of interruptions from the perspective of personality traits.According to the experimental results and related theories, four aspects of production practice management strategy are given.According to the degree of impact of different interruption conditions on the operators' operational performance and cognitive load,a priority management strategy considering the interruption effect is proposed. In view of the influence of Type A/B personality traits, task assignment, personality trait selection and incentive strategies considering the operators' personality differences are proposed. From the perspective of task similarity, the assignment strategy considering task similarity is given.Based on the relationship between performance and cognitive load,a series of targeted training and recovery strategies are proposed, including training on interruption mechanism, job rotation, production rhythm control and improvement of the intermission system. This study aims at the interference problem in production, conducting a beneficial exploration on the differences of behavioral performance and cognitive load of operators with different personality in dealing with interruption events. The research reveals the importance of considering the influence of operators' personality characteristics in manual assembly tasks, and provides guidance for interruption management and personnel operation arrangement in work scenarios.
