As development and application of CCD sensor technology, the video surveillance technology of space has developed rapidly. However, the resolution of Chinese camera shooting equipments in the field of aerospace was generally not high and it has restricted the further development of video surveillance technology. By researching digital high-definition technology, the paper designs a digital high-definition CCD camera based on FPGA.The paper has carried out analysis on system in entirety. It introduces the optical system and the structure system chiefly but researches and designs the electrical system with great emphasis. As the developmet of ADC integrated circuit techniques, the methed based on FPGA+ADC is adopted to drive CCD sensor, with the advantages that it has saved the resourse of FPGA effectly and is more beneficial for the synchronous processing of photoelectric conversion and AD conversion. The paper has designed hardware circuit of electrical system, including the circuit of photoelectric conversion, the circuit of AD conversion, the circuit of system control, the circuit of high-definition display and the circuit of power supply.The paper has designed the software on the basis of the hardware platform: the driving timing design of image sensor, image data conversion from analog to digital, the realization of color interpolation, color space conversion from RGB to YCrCb, the realization of automatic exposure algorithm, the realization of automatic white balance algorithm, the display of HD image. The methed based on FPGA+ADC is adopted to implement the driving timing design of image sensor. For the image division weighted algorithm cannot obtain the exact exposure control time if the objects is in the non-central area, this paper proposes an automatic exposure algorithm based on gray histogram and it can get the exact exposure control time for all kinds of scene.The test results show that the system works stably, and the images output by this system have good effects. At last, the thesis makes out summarization and indicates the deficiencies and how to improve its performance.
