Job Shop production planning plays an important part in production efficiency. Job shop production planning whose characters are complicated calculation, dynamic multi-restriction and multi-objective has been proved that it is a NP-hard problem. With the development of manufacturing technology, computer simulation plays an important role in operational planning to improve the production efficiency and reduce production cost of the workshop production.Firstly, a car bridge production process which has multi-processing path and mass-produced is studied. Combined with the market demands, workshop production conditions, products processing technology and other factors, the production process model of the car bridge is built by using Flexsim simulation software. Then the system simulation model is run. The adjustment process and the optimization of parameters are done to eliminate the bottlenecks, the production process is optimized. A reasonable production plan of the car bridge workshop production which meets the production requirements is finally built.Secondly, a workshop production with the production orders which has 6 parts and 6 equipments is extracted from the car bridge workshop production, and the method of dealing with problems of multi-objective on the using of simulation technology is further researched on this model. First of all, the Flexsim simulation model of the production process is established. Then the descriptions of the time and cost objectives are analyzed detailed, and the objective functions are also established. The corresponding system optimization models are created. Through the optimizing analysis, the optimized operation sequences for different objectives are finally built. Through the research, it is clear that compared with the processing without optimization, using Flexsim simulation software to optimize can get a better optimization results on the multi-objective problems.In this paper, an in-depth study on the key technology of using Flexsim software doing simulation including the GUI (Graphical User Interfaces), Experiment and the using of OptQuest modules function is done, and a reference for other relevant research works which takes Flexsim software as research tools is provided.
