| Video surveillance system is one of computer systems which is based on computer technique, with advancing Multi-media Technique, Net Communication Technique, Digital Image Technique etc. Along with the approach of Post-PC era, these techniques all get fast development. In addition, the embedded system technique also obtains glorious achievement in last few years. A video surveillance system designed in embedded system was proposed.This Video surveillance system used PXA270 as its core processing, which produced by Intel company. The Logitech USB camera was used to collect image, the CPLD was employed to control of the temporal logic, according to the monitoring necessary, PTZ controller was regulated. Embedded Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) Windows CE 5.0 was used as the software platform, and we develop the driver and application under that.First the text discussed the composition of hardware and the transplantation of the Embedded Operating System in detail, as well as customization of Windows CE and the development of USB camera driver. And then the paper completed the image acquisition based on Logitech camera, JPEG compressed encoding, motion detection and alarm, the design and programming of TCP video and TCP client, and realized the hardware design and software programming of PTZ controller. At last, we completed the integration of various functional modules.In order to enhance the practicality of the system, the paper makes a basic function test and analysis about the system. It shows that we can watch the remote video Image by monitoring client, and regulate the camera controller, so it has reached the predetermined target, verified the feasibility and practicality of the embedded ARM-based remote video monitoring system. |
