| The news photograph is an important content of the news report and occupies a unique position in the studies of Journalism. It plays a significantly important role in news report in Mongolian too. However, in the history of the studies on the Inner Mongolia Daily (Mongolian version), there was actually no research done on the subject of news photograph. Although there were lots of researches and works about the Inner Mongolia Daily (Mongolian version), they were done just in terms of the history of Journalism, theories in Journalism, the specialty knowledge of newspaper industry and management of the industry etc. To fill this blank, the author made a systematic research on the news photographs printed in the Inner Mongolia Daily (Mongolian version) since its first publication sixty years ago. Through analyzing the historical evolution of the news photographs in Inner Mongolia Daily, the author depicted the function of the news photograph, explored how to properly choose and apply news photographs, and probed into its development trend as well. Examples of news photographs have been used to facilitate the analysis and argumentation in each chapter. Every research work has to explain its theoretical and practical value. This research has innovated a new way of study on the Inner Mongolia Daily (Mongolian version), which enriches the study of Mongolian Journalism, and hopefully would be a reference for the application of news photograph in Mongolian newspapers in the future. |
